Dummies guide to setting up Wpad with Ruckus Zonedirector 1100
Please can some one help me out and tell me bit by bit how to setup a wpad file with proxy settings for our wireless clients.
Basically i have a Zone director 1100 and in my WLans list ive enabled Auto Proxy setting within the Advanced options. i want to be able to set the wpad file to be stored on my server using IIS. but I've hardly next to nothing experience writing a simple wpad file to tell our wireless clients what proxy address to use or setting this up in IIS.
hope you can help

Hi Phil, I have the Ruckus Wireless WPAD configuration guide PDF that i can send onto you if you like?
Hopefully it should answer all your questions, i have tried to send it via a PM but it wouldn't let me. If you think it would be of use can you PM me your email address and I will forward it on.

@phillip_croxford WPAD isn't a silver bullet unfortunately - you'll still have problems with iOS and Android devices. I wrote a couple of posts about this on my blog... WPAD Archives | IrritableTech
In IIS you'll need to set up some MIME Types... .pac & .dat application/x-ns-proxy-autoconfig This site is useful reading... Deploying WPAD « FindProxyForURL - PAC & WPAD Resource
