New Wireless Network needed - Recommended Companies anyone?
Hi Guys!
Our current wireless solution is getting a bit old now, and giving us a few problems with speed and reliability. (netgear)
I would like to get a survey done soon to identify what would be best and would prefer a company who is local to me (for onsite support purposes if anything goes wrong!) We are in Smethwick, West Midlands and are a three form entry school.
I have heard a lot of good about Ruckus Wireless and Meru but would prefer Ruckus because of recommendations from other techys who are using it at the moment.
Look forward to your recommendations...
Thanks

We used a company, based in the West Midlands called Network IT 24.
So they should be close by, as we are based in Walsall and had the work carried out by them.
They were very helpful and advised us well and were recommended to me by another technician.
They gave us a few options including RUCKUS, which we went for after a free two week demo.
Once we were able to see that there were no problems or compatibility issues, we placed the order as we found them to be very competitive.
Give them a call on 07412 148 695

I would strongly recommend a Meru wireless solution and Geode (Home) as the installers. These guys are geniuses and genuinely care about the solution they provide. They're not in it purely for the money.

We had a Meru Wireless network in before we had RUCKUS, but had quite a few issues, so even though there was new technology and products available from Meru, we decided to stay away as we were so impressed by the Ruckus Demo from the guys at NetworkIT24
Plus it was almost a 1000 quid cheaper!!!

We currently have a Meru system which replaced a Ruckus system. We've had nothing but problems with the Meru although the exact cause has yet to be determined. The Meru support are very helpful and the product appears to be physically well made. The Ruckus system worked fine in the past but was B/G only although we frequently had 50+ users on one AP. The Meru APs stop working when we have about 25 users connected to an AP. This is an ongoing issue which Meru are working on. At the moment it's unusable with a class full of students. We changed to Meru as part of a BSF "solution".
Please PM me if you want more info. Likewise, if anyone has a working Meru system with high density usage (30+ per AP) please let me know how you do it!
Buyer beware!
