My collegue has just purchased some cat5 cable to install in is house. We have just discovered that it is CAT5e-CCA cable as mentioned in this article
Copper Clad Aluminium, Cat 5e
I was wondering has anuyone here come accross cable companies using it instead of real CAT5 Cable as its advertising is subtle and a lot of people could easily make that mistake.

IT'S Crap.
We spent ages (even replacing active equipment and a 200 mile midnight run) thinking some radio gear was faulty as it was getting 1Mb Down 5Mb up and randomly falling over. Last ditch before going up a large mast we put the radio onto the old cables in the building rather than this new drop cable, 30Mb/30Mb and totally stable. The stuff is junk, even worse wen doing POE.
