HP Procurve 2910al-24 or 3500yl-24 for core?
Very quick question; on a tight budget and need to replace the current core which is a 2810 (not even a core, only layer 2)!
2910al is about Ģ850 and the 3500yl is about Ģ1500. They both do Layer 3 static routing and are capable of running with 10GB addin cards.
Before we plump for the 2910al, is there any serious consideration we need to take on board with regards to running the 3500yl in the same manner, or is it just glorified with stuff we won't use/need?
