    Netgear GSM7224 please help,

I bought a Netgear GSM7224 off ebay, and everything powers on fine, the light is green, and connect lights come on when a line is connected, but other then that nothing is working... can someone please tell me what to do? this is my first managed switch, I have tried resetting it. it doesn't bring up any i.p. when connected to a router.

If it stays on that indefinitely then itmay be. Then again it could be like the HP ProCurve I broke last week. Stupidly enough there were no warnings to tell me that wiping both the primary and secondary flash areas would result in the switch not booting or seeming not even being able to create a serial connection...who'd have known? Lol. Luckily the ProCurve was fixed by uploading the latest software version after following a couple of steps.

Maybe your Netgear needs a similar routine performing on it. To find out, you'd have to scour the internet for the answer.
