Yes you do, if you read the install instructions it will tell you how to set it up as a dedicated as this is the only way it will work now.

Excellent, I would suggest that you set one of your servers so that a single service is being checked that way you will see "other" functionality too.

Quick question for those using the software, when monitoring printers would it be a help if a check was done to find out toner and or drum levels as well as paper jam status?

So you would get the following:

Up [Green] - All Ok
Jam [Orange] - Paper Jam
Toner [Orange] - Toner Low
Drum [Orange] - Drum Low
Check [Orange] - Combination of Jam, Toner or Drum
Down [Red] - No Communication

Depending on feedback I'll look into getting this added for the next release.

That would be great ICTNUT, can I also ask if possible lets say you find something that is down for example if you hover over the down it will reveal the IP address of the device, will help with trying to fix the problem.

@Mullet_Man: The up, down, check status words have been changed into icons which you will simply hover to get additional info or click to get extended info if it has been enabled for that item.

Cheers ICTNUT, for convenience I would prefer to hover over the item to get the extended info rather than have to click, which would take you away from the main status page.

Changes thus far are as follows:

1 - We now have a non-WMI ping check which will allow non admins the ability to check status
2 - Up, Down, Check word status has been replaced by nice icons.
3 - Extended information will not take you away from the status page but will open in a modal window.
4 - Printer checks are now in and will return Printer Status, Printer State and connectivity
5 - Admin area is now secured via username and password
6 - Extended error trapping and timeouts have been added in case items take longer than required to respond
7 - Email notifications are now included.
8 - Ability to set number of failures until email is sent
9 - Ability to set how many emails are sent (re-notification)

I have a few more updates to do then will look at getting a pack for release early next week.

This is looking great so far! One feature suggestion I would like to make is to also monitor status of projectors (connected via IP or RS232 to IP converters). Status messages like lamp life, filter time, PING status, etc would be helpful. I do not know if it would be possible to do this or not, however.
