OK so my next question would be have you done the MS Access hack as per this thread:

Using Classic ASP with Microsoft Access Databases on IIS 7.0 and IIS 7.5 : Running Classic ASP Applications on IIS 7.0 and IIS 7.5 : Hosting Applications on IIS 7.0 : The Official Microsoft IIS Site

Also if this is NOT a public facing server and is only available internally I would suggest you turn off friendly error pages in IIS7 so that the errors are displayed to the user:

No Useful Error Messages Appear : The Official Microsoft IIS Site

If you can view the error please post it and I can tell what the issue is.

Yep, I'm happy to admit I really don't know what i'm doing with webservers!

We only have a server 2008 IIS7 server here and I got a bit lost with all the IIS6 talk!
If you have a server2008 step-by-step guide that'll be great!

This looks like an excellent tool I could publish in the UAGbeta!

Ill have a look at putting together a 2008/IIS7 guide later this week.

I have not tested this mysefl but looking at forum posts people have got it working but it is long winded as Microsft have decided to turn most things off.

    Awesome, thanks ICTNUT.

Easy MS security = uninstall stuff not needed by the default IIS website.

    Hi All,

For some reason I am unable to edit my first post in order to update.

A new version is available to all which has the following chages:

1 - Firefox and Google chrome display issues fixed
2 - A full list of items to check is now displayed with a checking indicator which will then provide a status once it has been returned by the server.
3 - Checks are now staggered to ensure servers do not get swamped by the checks
4 - If WMI checks have been selected the server name becomes a link in which when clicked will display a modal popup the service status.
5 - Alot of the code has been streamlined for more efficient running.

    TO DO:
    Email notifications
    Ability to restart services
Ability to check non windows (*nix) services.

    How to Upgrade:
If you are upgarading an exisitng install simply delete all files and folders but NOT the data folder, extract the contents of the zip and copy over all files apart from the data folder.

    New Installs:
Check the readme file for full install instructions.

    OK All,

Quick update, Monday will see the release of version 1.5 which will include the following:

1 - Ability to add more groups
2 - Ability to SNMP queries depending on what is being queried i.e. for swithces you will be able to return port status (up/down), speed (10/100/10000), and vlan membership
3 - Ability to query systems other than Windows i.e. *nix & Mac
4 - For windows, restart services.

    Happy monitoring :-)

    Hi ICTNUT,

Just updated to latest version, and getting an ASP error see below.

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

    Script timed out

    /mlsm/Default.asp

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

@Mullet_man: How many items are you checking? I have 93 and I don't get a timeout.

try adding the following to the page: <% Server.ScriptTimeout = 3600 %> just under this line: On Error Resume Next

Let me know how you get on

Opps My Bad, remove the <% and %> from the line you just put in

Also for each of those devices how many services are you checking?
