    I'd imagine it would void the warranty doing any work on it yourself unless you can hide the fact you did it. Try contacting HP via the my.procurve.com site, I've got a spare 8206zl sat on my desk at the moment ready to swap out tomorrow as they couldn't think of how to fix an issue with our current one in the rack, so they just sent this out free of charge and asked me to send the other one back in the same packaging (again for free, postage label for returns is just sat under the original postage label) when i can

    thanks,it is a useful warning,at the same time,i will more concern about whether the other series of HP switches have this situation too.i will keep concerning on the new discovery.
