Required to append .LOCAL to domain name when joing to domain
Can anyone offer a quick solution to this one:
Back in February I implemented VLAN's on our network and all is running fine. That is apart from... whenever I want to join a PC to the domain I am having to write the domain name as domain.local - I never had to do this is the past, just the domain name itself would suffice. Now it needs the .local ???
The DHCP kicks out the correct IP/subnet/GW/DNS settings and the DNS suffix search order has my domain.local listed, just like I used to have it.
Its only a minor niggle but its getting on my nerves as some of my XP ghost images that were sysprepped are stopping when they reach the join domain section :(
