Hi,
One of our Admin lasses is having problems with mail merge in Office 2003. When she does the merge, any address with a letter in the house number, eg 12A , they appear in the letter as 0. All other numbers work fine.
Any ideas?

I presume your data table is in Excel?
It is worth that all the cells in this column have the same data type:
Format>Cell - choose Text rather than General.

Yeah the data is in Excel, exported from Sims.net.
No joy after changing the column to text though.

I will have a play and get back to you...
You have probably already checked the data table... but in case you haven't; you need to check the data table to see if SIMS has exported the house numbers OK.
Are Post Codes OK?
Thanks.
Yeah the data in the data sheet is OK, inc Postocdes and house numbers
We've had this exact same problem...
Is the first cell of the column in question a number? If so put an apostrophe before the number and see if that solves it.
Even though we formatted the cells in that particular column to text the error still occurred. Adding the apostrophe solved it.
The error looks like Word seems to ignore the cell formatting and id's the cell value as a number then parses the rest of that column as the same format.
Quite odd really
