Remote shutdown access denied 5 HELP !!!!

Hello when i tried to remote shutdown a computer and i typed in CMD "shutdown -i" and i added computer to shutdown and it said access denied i have been trying to find a solution but i cant find one so please help me :D :D
things i tried:
"Run cmd as administrator" "net user Administrator /active:yes"

Do you have permissions on the remote computer to initiate a remote shutdown ?

i dont know how do i check that what do i change to get permission ??

Is the computer you are trying to shutdown connected to a domain or in a workgroup?

You normally get this message if its not part of domain or cannot authenticate properly

yeah its connected to a domain network

What administrator account are you using local or domain. Even on a domain I think you have to add the "allow administators to shut down the system" in group policy.

As long as you are logged into the domain with the a domain administrator account it should work - tried and tested, worked!

I sometimes use this when a machine has locked up, force it to shutdown

Just to check, you are working for the school and not a student aren't you?

Its on a school network and i think its local i tried to make my self admin and it still say access denied

You need to go to the network manager and ask for the domain admins user and password, you will probably receive a detention though.

Ok i checked that i can change some things in secpol.msc>expand local policies>user rights assigment> what should i change there ???? :D

You should go speak to your ICT team because you would most likely have some sort of domain admin rights if you were suppose ro be doing stuf like this.

Hacking in schools is easy, wait till the screen goes black then press f12, B , I , L then press F4 and Alt together. When the machine reboots take yourself along to the nearest teacher and tell them your messing around with the school network and should be dealt with.

in the meantime go away and learn some more about computers, You obviously are trying something out of your depth and your not going to learn much if your banned from every computer in your school!
