Does anyone know how to turn off the auto generated scan on Symantec anti virus corporate edition v10.0.400. I keep deleting it but it comes back for each user that logs on.
Wish our LEA didn't get this cheap, its an awful piece of software ;)

From the SSC unlock group then right click in righthand side pane, options, all tasks, Symantec antivirus, Client administration only, leftclick and in the General tab untick the "run startup scan(s) when user logs on" box. click ok and all should be well.
I have found this software very good over the past 5 years and would highly recommend it.

ittech: could have been worse your LEA might have forced you to run some other unmentionable AV which apparently (or so quite a few members have commented on) does not run very well and is quite a difficult piece of software to implement.
