Setting local administrator rights to a domain group

I have a query....can I add local administrators or power users usign GPO or a script? I need to make staff power users on a group of machines and I dont plan on doing this 1 by 1 unless its a must, we dont have that much free time and if we did theres better things to do :P

Client side extensions also does this now - less complex that restricted groups.
