How do I disable Sophos's tray icon?
Make sure that the pupils are not part of the SophosAdministrator group on the client PC's.
We do this using the Restricted Groups part of Group Policy.

I agree if they're not part of any Sophos groups they shouldn't be able to do anything which can affect Sophos.

Why do you need to re-enable it for Papercut? The information for papercut is in a window in the top corner of the screen by default and if the kids minimize it without checking they have enough to print it won't do any harm to yourself.

Because simple things amuse tiny minds. Less stuff to fiddle with the better, at the moment we have the whole sys tray disabled. However this prevents Papercut giving messages to the client so this has to change, I'd also like to have windows volume control as well.Quote:

If they minimize the main windows it just dissapears which is no bad thing. Don't forget to disable the bit that allows people to transfer balances to each other (some clever kids figured that one out quick sharp)
