Auto Email Setup
Is there anyway to automatically setup a users email account.
Server - Exchange 2007
MS Outlook 2003/2007
So that when a user logs onto the computer and there email is for some reason not setup it will auto set it up so we dont have to get attached by new users.
I have exchange 2003 and we lately installed office 2007 which included outlook. I have not done any configuration and when staff/pupils open outlook it automatically configures the account.
Richprofile.exe ( RichProfile ) can set up a user's profile given a
few switches on the command-line. Thus you could call it from your login script.
So, a working command line, in your batch file, assuming your server was called ABC-Mail, you wanted to name the profile after the user's name, you don't want to delete the profile if it exists, and you want it to be the default profile, would look like this "RichProfile ABC-Mail %username% %username% N D"
You can use the office resource kit to alter the MSI to allow you to specify the server settings for outlook 2003.
