Re: making a user for remote desktop on w2000 server
Not sure if this is of any use but there are different versions of vnc :
ultra vnc :
http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/
real vnc :
http://www.realvnc.com/
tight vnc :
http://www.tightvnc.com/
Maybe one of the different versions would have extra features that would have something in there that would help :)
Also just out of curiousty, what is wrong with dameware ?
Re: making a user for remote desktop on w2000 server
I found out today from our Systems' Manager that Capita actually connect to our SIMS server via a web-driven invitation interface- called "streaming support" or something similar.
Anyone know what this is?

You are directly with Capita and not dotICT?
They probably use GoToAssist, from Citrix.

How about LogMeIn? Its free and can be disabled when not in use - I use it for remote access over the weekends.
Re: making a user for remote desktop on w2000 server
that'd be fun if it worked over our firewall - thanks for the heads up SM ;)
