Help! Resolution problem.

So, the gfx card on my home pc just died.

The MB has onboard graphics so I can go back to that but unfortunately it is VGA whereas my Apple Display is HDMI.

So I have dug out my old VGA monitor but the resolution was cranked up high for the Apple Display and when you get to the login screen I get the 'signal out of range' message as the little monitor can't handle it. Even booting into safe mode produces the same error. :doh:

I can't work out how to get round this. Any ideas? :)

D'oh VGA mode - sorted, ignore me :)

If you have an LCD TV lying around (as you do) most of them have VGA ports. You could run it through this and tweak the resolution accordingly.
