Altert me - New Device on the network - DHCP?

I think i am going to be massively dissapointed. :(

Would there happen to be a tool that will alert me should a new device come onto the network?

I am guessing i need some sort of DHCP tool, as this would be one of the first services to acknowledge the new device? If it was realtime, even better!

Would there be some way of getting DHCP to tell me when a new device is allocated an IP?

Quite a few times when trawling through logs and DNS i see references to devices that i know are not mine, and these devices have since dissapeared. I am guessing someone is plugging something in somewhere.

Many products can act as NAC sophos (includes a version) Sophos - Network Access Control (NAC). How compliant are you?
