Connecting a Windows Home XP Eee PC to internet through school's wireless network.
We bought the Asus Eee PC Series notebook PG 4G about 10 months ago and we
have had no joy of getting them on to School wirless network. We have four with XP Office
Home and the two with Linux on them.
First with the XP Home one we are trying to connect through a school wireless network to
access the internet only.
We have set the laptop up with a automatic IP and Static IP and we have no joy. Under
internet option, Connections, LAN settings when we untick use a Prox! y server we get a
username and password box show and no matter what we try it does not let us
Just so you know we can connect to the wireless connection but it does not let us connect/surf to websites. We just get access denied or unable to display this page. The wireless network card and drive is enabled.
Can any one advise me of how to get around access the internt through a School

I have compared it to my work computer and it has made no difference. My boss and I am not sure if it is to do with the RM CC3 network?
