disable IE7 popup blocker via regedit

Hey,

I'm trying to write a script that will disable IE7's popup blocker completely.

My PC is running XP SP3 and IE7.

The technet article How to configure the Pop-up Blocker on a computer that is running Windows XP Service Pack 2 that gives reg keys to disable popup blocker in sp2 does not appear to work; changing the setting in the regedit does not change the setting in the application (unless I have to restart my PC - haven't tried that. I have however, restarted IE)

I've also tried to change the specific popup blocker settings in the various zones as is listed in the above link - also no help.

Ideas? I can't use GPO as I'm not running a Windows network (yet). We're all Novell until summer. Can't wait.

It's very easy to switch this off using a GPO. I've tried the registry entry Microsoft have suggested and I can confirm it doesn't work. There must be another setting somewhere.

You may want to take a look at the IE7 IEAK, because maybe you can disable it by default this way?
