I have just setup offline files on a teachers laptop for their my documents so when they go home they can use all their files.
It has worked in a fashion but not the way i believ it should.
Instead of copying the file structure (folders and files as they are in my documents) it has jsut copied the files themselves. Obviously this makes it confusing to the teacher as she is unsure which files belong to which class etc like this.
how did you actually set it up? Did you set it so that only the FILES synchronise, or that the whole structure synchronises? That is the key to the issue.

How is the teacher accessing the files. It sounds as if they are using the offline files folder rather than going through the normal file system to where the syncronized folder would usually be.
You could also check the group policy setting:
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> Offline Files : Subfolders always avalible offline
which may help.
