Why is the Shutdown button greyed out?
This is bloomin' annoying, mostly because it's my PC and I haven't been able to get to the bottom of this.
The PC in my office has Windows XP Pro on a vanilla server 2003 network. It's in the same OU as the Admin machines (Head, Bursar, Secretary, Registrar)
For some reason, the Shutdown button on the Windows Logon screen is greyed out. So to shut the PC down, you have to logon.
I have tried switching the PC to another OU, thinking its some sort of GPO issue, but that hasn't helped. Every other PC in the school has the Shutdown button; is mine trying to tell me I'm not allowed to go home?
