Does anybody know how to disable the 'Network & Privavy' dialogue that is displayed when VLC first runs for a user? You can disable it for each user once they've chosen an option in the first place but what I wantto do is stop the dialogue from displaying altogether.
There apparantly is a solution but the person didn't post the answer on the VLC forum, even though they said they would.
One option is to get a older version before they added the dialogue. Not got a fix for the other newest one yet as we dont run it.
Add --no-qt-privacy-ask after the VLC executable file. (e.g. In Windows it would be vlc.exe --no-qt-privacy-ask.)
Unfortunately, VLC stores the settings in Application Data\vlc\vlcrc or .vlc/vlcrc so it has to be set per user.
Just create the shortcut with those switches

Just a thought :D
Where else would they go? They're not going to be running applications from the command line, are they??
