Virtual box multi user
Im trying to have virtual ox installed on the workstations in the computing lab, with a virtual XP install that the students can use to do stuff they need to learn but dont have access to on the normal workstations.
But I cant seem to find a way in virtualbox to have just one virtual machine for all users. Ive created a virtual machine but it only appears in virtual box under the user who created it. How can I have All Users of the machine when they log in to access the one virtual machine?
Does Virtual ox ( ;) ) use file association? If so you can create a shortcut to the actual VM itself on the students desktop/start menu. This should the automatically launch Virtual Box and the correct VM when clicked.
Before you start making a VM change the default location to a place accesible by all. In File -> Prefs -> General.
Then launch it with a shortcut like:
"C:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox\VBoxManage.exe" startvm XP
Where the VM Name is XP.
Ill give that a try. Thanks

One of the computing classes needs to cover installing software and system settnigs etc. This way it gives them a VM they can mess about with to their hearts content.
Ah i see.
