capture video

hi,
Does anybody know any good free video capturing software which can save video to network drive from usb logitech cameras(cheap ones). Windows Movie Maker only save to local drive which students dont have access to on rm network. or somebody know how to modify Windows Movie Maker to save to network drive

The option in movie maker is on the options menu or something. I imagine that it then writes this to a registry value but I'm not sure where.

The best video capturing program is VirtualDub.

However, your data rate may prevent you from saving to a network drive but good luck.

I'm confused - although we don't have RM, Windows Movie Maker does save to a network drive. Why would RM stop this happening? Assuming that it is RM stopping it and it's not the way you have it installed.
