Migrating Exchange 2007 from 2003. Stuck
Due to our Exchange 2003 getting increasingly flaky I decided that it was time we upgraded to Exchange 2007. As you simply can't do a simpl in place upgrade I followed the instructions here: Transitioning from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange Server 2007 (Part 1)
I have followed the instructions fine and have got to the point where I just have to migrate the mailboxes and shut down my old server. This will take place in the October half term break. My problem is this though. I have migrated a test mailbox to the new server with no problems, and Outlook (2003) can connect to it fine, but it cannot send or receive mail. No errors are given apart from a 0x8004010F relating to offline address books as far as I can see.
Our servers send mail via a smarthost which both can see.
Is the problem with the incoming mail related to the old server not sending it on correctly to the new server and the new server not seeing the smarthost do you think?
Anyone already done this and has any pointers?
