Nvidia Tray Icon
Does anybody know how to disable the nvidia tray icon(using the latest forceware) and remove the right click to the control panel??:confused:
I can disable the tray icon for my account in the control panel, then log on using a kids account it's in the tray again:confused:
The right click menu to nvidia control panel, I can't find anything about how remove that
Help is greatly appeciated
Go into the registry
local machine >> software >> microsoft >> windows >> current version >> run
and delete any nvidia software launching, they probably have a systray app in there.
We have a batch file that runs on start up add the line
reg delete HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v "QuickTime Task" /f
That example is quicktime but in your registry it should give you the actual name of the nvidia tray icon.

I'm gonna try the registry route and I'll let you know how I get on:)
The right click on desktop menu to the nvidia control panel is still puzzling me, I know intel have a fix for this but trying to find a fix for nvidia's
Removing those entries in the registry did the job:)
I've posted on nvidia forums about removing the right click menu.
Just to close this, Too delete the right click context menu on the desktop delete the registry key
Nice one...but does that also remove the tray icon?
No. This should though...
