I am after ideas please.
Setup here in a very condensed form.
Admin server that does admin AD/email/proxy(isa)/dns/web filtering f&p,etc etc etc...
Get the picture?
It has only 512meg of ram(yes thats right!)
The email we have is a very old version of Mdaemon (ver 3.5.7). Staff use webmail to access it but can't from outside.
Now i have ZERO (or next to) money free and practically no time. But any ideas as to what i could do to give the staf the capability of accessing there emails from outside?
They can email the outside world and recieve external emails but not access there account from home.
If I had the time I would prob put a linux box (or bsd) and setup an emailserver on that but i havent.
So an ideas?
need a, what are they called now? thought shower!
If you already use webmail, all you should have to do is open a port (80) on your firewall and direct it to the MDaemon server. Visiting the school's internet IP address in a web browser should show the MDaemon login page. You can make it easier to remember if you create a subdomain A record of the external domain name.
I agree totally!

The only thing I could do is to put the email on a separate desktop and use that as a small email server but its time!
