Restoring Single Mail Box in Exchange
I`m wanting to restore a single mail box in exchnge but haven`t a clue about how to do it, It looks like one of our teachers has downloaded all her mail to a local personal file but we don`t know which pc.
Everything I can find on the the net mentions having a second server to connect it to, Is there a janet and John guide anywhere?
Re: Restoring Single Mail Box in Exchange
It depends on what type of backup you have been doing i think.
If it is brick level i am sure you can run whatever backup software you are using, navigate through the information store and then to the mailbox and right click recover/restore.
Obviously you need a mailbox to restore to and you can either restore to the persons mailbox or to a dummy mailbox as a trial.
Are you using backup Exec?

were using backup exec 10
Re: Restoring Single Mail Box in Exchange
In that case (is it 10d if i recall) its a piece of piss if your doing brick level backups not sure about incremental etc.
You literally load the tape up and navigate to the mailbox. Check out some of the backup exec 10 documentation although some of it is a bit vast.
