folder violation

i am having a folder violation in a 'common area' folder that all students have read and write permissions on, the folder background is being changerd on a regular basis, i can change this back with IESHWIZ.exe but its getting annoying, i have right click disabled and all the usual illegal application assigned, i cant see how they are doing it? does anyone have any ideas on how i can either trace who is doing it or how i can stop this?

You could switch auditing on for the folder and files in question and see what comes up in the event log. That might tell you who is responsible.
