Freecom memory stick
I have a memory stick (Freecom DataBar) that when first plugged into an XP machine will be auto detected as a USB device, installed and accessible, the trouble is though that once it has been installed, the next time it is plugged in it is not found at all, in device manager or as an available drive.
I have checked the more obvious things, using disk managment to locate the drive in case it as assigned a drive letter already used, but it does not show up in there.
Anyone got any ideas on this?

Re: Freecom memory stick
The freebie gizmo available at the address below is easily installed and often makes USB drives visible.

Re: Freecom memory stick
Thanks for that link, we already have that service installed though :? its a great tool. The problem is that it does not even seem to detect the device is plugged in within windows itself. Other memory sticks work okay, and in a new machine if it is plugged in for the first time it works okay, just once it has been installed on the machine, subsequently will not detect as USB device.
I am thinking of just releasing my techie demon to let it have a little feast on its innards
