hi guys
we just got aload of toshiba laptops in with xp pro and wirless
when you go to shut them down you get a ending now error and then have to click end now
spoke to some people and they said is was a virsus /trojon but have not found anything
but...
i have found that if you end the ZCfgSvc.exe before shutting down the error message does not appear
any ideas
it isnt a virus, what program is ZCfgSvc.exe?
It's included in the drivers for the Intel Wireless network card that's installed. It seems you can get away with disabling this service, and all you'll notice is an increase in the computer's processing power...apparently.
Remove it see here
or you could get rid of it via MSCONFIG

if you restall the wireless card software it appears to solve the problem
