A friend had to restart one of his Windows 2000 servers (thanks to a Sophos f up)
Once it had restarted it came up with a blank screen, then an invalid boot.ini message.
Upon choosing last good configuration, he has managed to get back into the server, if the server needs a restart again will it bring back the boot.ini error?
Any ideas?
Thanks.

What does his boot.ini look like?

He says, when trying to access via My Computer Advanced etc...
It can not be opened, and that OS and timeout settings can not be altered.
Any thoughts??

It's corrupt. Restore it from backup.
