ActiveSync Issue

Afternoon all,

I'm having a little issue with ActiveSync and my Windows Mobile based PDA which is quite annoying. Everytime I reboot the PC and connect the PDA to the cradle, ActiveSync reads the connection settings from the PDA but always wants to make a new connection which means calling the PC a different name on the PDA also and setting up the sync options. It also creates a new sync folder on the desktop with the name of the PDA but incremented by 1 all the time. It doesn't happen once it's all set up, just after a reboot so I guess the settings aren't being kepts on the PC but they are on the PDA

are you loosing your profile?? perhaps using a mandatory profile...
is it just activsync or other progs that are loosing their settings?

what sort of environment is the pc in home network/domain etc?
