Hope this is the right place.

I'm using WDS to deploy windows XP. I've created an image and got it captured to the server. Image is sysprepped and ready to go.

Now when i try to image a machine it takes ages. Not an hour or two but 2-3 days!!!! It hangs at the Expanding Files bit. Does anyone know why this could be and if there is a way round it?

Machines are all the same. Tried it on 3 different types and it still takes the same length of time. Server that it's running on is brand new and in a test environment at the moment.

I'm getting really frustrated with this now. I've spent nearly 2 weeks having a look at it, checking network connections, DNS settings.

Hope someone can shed some light on it.
