Im trying to give a folder containing some software differant permission on the workstations but it just wont play ball.

    In GPMC
    Computer settings - Security - File System = %ProgramFiles%\softwarename

    Everyone - Write control

GPO is being applied etc etc just it isnt giving the permissions

Any ideas on an alternatate method?

    Re: GPMC - File System

are you sure that permissions on the PC aren't restricting users? remember a deny will always take effect over everything else.
