    APPV again

Does anyone know if it's possible or is their a workflow for using APPV without the sql server streaming management backend stuff?

I'd just like to use it as a packager like winstallLE but with the bonus of isolation.

The test lab I had to construct was a giant pain, 2008r2 with sql express 2008, 2 .net packages, IIS setup with ASP. balh blah blah. Then I had to install system center! That was just to test, and isn't supported for production... that was a day wasted.

You can just click on a package once it's created (this can either be stored locally or on a network smb\http share).

The advantage that the management server gives you is that it automatically populates the start menu and will associate the file types with the correct application.
