    Email synchronisation

Hi Can anyone tell me of a way to synchronise email between two PC's and an Ipad?

The Head Teacher would like to be able to manage her emails on her pc and IPad and allow another colleague to manage them from a PC. I understand that setting up the accounts on each device using IMAP will do this automatically but the nemismail server that i connect to doesn't have IMAP. is there a way of synchronising using POP3 or is this a lost cause?

    Martin.

What email client are you using on his PC, if it's outlook then it might be possible with a combination of roaming profiles to keep the two PCs singing from the same song sheet and iCloud to keep the iPad happy.

Using windows live mail on her pc and outlook on the other pc, her colleague has the head's mail account set up as an additional account within outlook. not up to speed with the ipads yet :P we have a lot of ipads around the school that could pick up the mail if set up on icloud?

There is no effective way using POP3 and the built in email client I am afraid. You can get decent enough email client apps though for the iPad and some may be able to mange POP3 well enough. You would have to use that and ignore the built in email app.

Could you not switch to Google Apps for Education? Completely free and you use your own domain. Works a treat on iPads and Outlook!

Sign up for Live@Edu (would be something to plan) - its praticly free from Microsoft and would let you use Outlook on your PCs and mobile device sync on the iPad

Roll out to the whole school and que applause as you deploy a perfect IT solution......or at least in all of our dreams.
