Problems deploying Office 2003 SP2 by WSUS

Just thought i would check to see if anyone has experienced any issues deploying Office SP2 by WSUS.

I am thinking of approving hte update this weeek and thought i would check.

it 'just works' in my experience. I've had the odd W2k machine trip up with .NET Service Pack 1 but thats about it.

No problems with it here, always a good idea to test it on a few machines first before rolling it out!

Just worked for me too (although I may have rolled it into the admin install point which would mean I am just thinking of the seemingly endless list of updates since then).

It did try to download 1.5Gb of updates for some reason. I'd advise you to approve it on its own, then go to WSUS's main summary page and check how much data it's trying to download.

I had all foreign languages and wacky installers turned off in WSUS settings, so I've no idea why it was so big, but someone else had had the same thing on a newsgroup.

If you have difficulty you can always download the full package from the MS site and do it Ric_'s way.
