ISA 2004 Blocking Groups
Hi,
We have ISA 2004 installed - we are trying to block access to internet to groups in AD.
We have created the group and added the users - and set it in the user set in ISA. The users can still access the internet. If we add the individual users in ISA it works perfectly - just not for any groups.
Any help or ideas

Re: ISA 2004 Blocking Groups
We also use this method, although we have also invested in a Bloxx appliance. You may like to check that the group is a security gropu not a distribution group. 8)

Re: ISA 2004 Blocking Groups
Yeah it is a security group..... heres another spanner thrown into the works. It works with a previous group that had been created many moons ago --- just not any new groups that im creating
1) Groups arent being blocked that I have created today
2) Is working with individual users
3) Is working with a group that was created a while back
4) Is not working with all groups created a while back
This is confuzzling me
All groups are global security groups/

I've never had it working blocking AD Groups ours is just set to ban a group that's created in ISA of individual AD Users.
Having said that, there's very rarely anyone banned just from the net, email sometimes but mostly just ban from the computers in general.
Sorry can't help.

Re: ISA 2004 Blocking Groups
I have it working with one group - no idea why its working with this group and no others.
My idea was to create the class groups within AD and then just move them into a no internet group which would be blocked within ISA...
Im sure its supposed to work :-)
