    GeoVision CCTV software - DMMultiView

We have recently had a new computer installed that monitors the CCTV cameras from around the school. When you browse to the computer name in IE from another station some software is downloaded and installed called DMMultiView which allows you to remotely view the cameras.

All computers will download and install this software fine but my problem is that some computers will allow you to view the cameras but others won't and just sit on a Blue screen saying "stopped" and i can't see why. I have compared many settings on a working and non-working station but i can't see any difference and there's no useful information in the application event log. The guy who installed this system said that certain ports need to be opened but i have no internal port blocking that i'm aware of and a telnet port test has shown the port to be open so i don't think anything is being blocked. Also this would affect all stations rather than just certain one's

Is there anyone else here using this software and had similar problems?

When you have computers that are saying stopped do you also have other machines connected and working?

What OS is on the Geovision box?

Do you know what model Geovision card is being used?

If you use the deicated client software on those machines can you get a connection?

@ callumtuckey This is on the staff domain (Vanilla network)

@PeterW I'm always trying One station at a time so currently it seems that this is random

Windows XP on the Geovision box

I'm not sure exactly what card is being used i'm afraid as this was installed before i got involved in this issue

When browsing to the Geovision box it downloads the dedicated software as part of the process. So this is still a problem
