The only official link is
http://www.vmware.com/download/server/
I don't know if its not working at the moment and I don't want to clutter up the internet by downloading a 150MB file just to prove it works
If its not working , then I'd email Mr VMware and report it as a fault.
regards
Simon

What is the actual message you are receiving? are you using a download manager?

Use a download manager to download it. I use the download them all plugin for firefox. Also make sure you have IIS installed as is a pre req for VM Server.

VMWare server will happily install without IIS being present. You will get a warning message and be given the chance to cancel the install, but I've installed it on lots of XP PCs without IIS. Not a problem.
