    Channel 4 40d clicking on one of the videos asks to download

    A number of my machine have developed a problem where on channel 4 40d service i can click on a video link but internet explorer asks to for a security warning download a file, i have the usual flash shock air silverlight plugins but it does not play the file it.

    this is happening as administrator also

    anyone got any ideas
    if i click on find i get the following

    MIME Type: application/x-gzip-compressed

    Description: UnKnown

    Windows does not recognize this MIME type.

    must be something to do with the mime settings

    anyone know how to reset them to default
