Calling All Sophos Experts

I have a problem with Sophos on a number of machines. After using Sophos EM to remote install it displays errors regarding SAV. I have tracked down the problem to the messaging part of Sophos.

When opening up Sophos on a client machine with the problems and trying to access the messaging options I get the following error

Any ideas? Have tried everything I can think of including installing Sophos EM on a different server, but still get the same issue!

Hmm.
I take it these PC's you are installing are fresh (aka no AV)?
Have you done a checksum test on your library?

Never seen this before........ on any of hte 790 clients we have. I would aso liek to know what is casuing this.

I used to have an error somthing like that a bit back. For some reason an older install broke the new one.

Sophos gave me a script that ripped off any version of the program. You had to reboot the machine and run the script again.

Then when you reinstalled bobs your uncle.

I am sorry I dont know you and will not send you the script as this is a dangerous scipt to post.

Contact Sophos and I am sure you will get sorted.

I have that script too for the same older client removal issue.

Its only dangerous if they run it blindly without checking for any addition evil code. If its the default script it only hunts down sophos reg keys/files.

Well after trying ZeroHours script I was still having the same issue. Then this thread was started

Used the script provided by techyphil and reinstalled and clients now work fine.
