POP3 filtering app

This is probably the wrong place to ask... but

Anyways - I have a strange request. My g/f's mother has a pop3 account and an internet connection on which she pays by the byte. She's looking for a program which can be used to check the pop account and only download certain messages, deleting the rest without downloading them. I have then to burn this to CD and post it to Nairobi, as its cheaper than downloading

Any suggestions?
