    Encyclopedias

    Hello all,

Years ago Encarta used to be the norm, but of course that isn't available anymore. Online Encyclopedias seem to be the way forward, but are there any suitable out there for children?

I've found Britannica, Wikipedia and I suppose search engines are a good resource, but are there any others you can recommend for children? Many thanks!

It hasn't been updated for a few years now, but there's Wikipedia for Schools.

Another Wikipedia resource I think worth highlighting is the Simple English Wikipedia - it has the aim of only using simple vocabulary and grammar in its articles.
