unable to browse network....
hello
had a few complaints from users not being able to browse the network using my network places > entire network > ms windows network > then get a pop to say
Unable to browse network
The network is not present or not started
for more info click help
any ideas? totally intermitting aswell 
**edit** sorry i forgot to mention it has been only been xp pro boxes so far TS seems ok

Why would your users want to browse by this? We have ours locked down to stop peeping toms trying to access what they shouldn't

it is locked down for most users except for users that are allowed in certain areas (and they live in a seperate ou with strict folder permissions on the available folder)
its was set up like this before i got here and im not allowed to change it either? managers hey!
i thought it may be a service that has taken the knock>?

Thats the service that allows the computer to take part in the network just like the server service takes care of sharing folders/printers etc. Probably the only 2 sensibly named MS service names

seen this a few times, make sure the workstations are on SP2
or re run it, that has fixed it for me in the past.
