    Software for monitoring school trips?

I have been asked what would be the best way to keep a log / calendar of all school trips throughout the school year.
I started out by suggesting a calendar in a spreadsheet but it seems to be getting bigger and bigger now with the names of all the students going, risk assessment etc.
Does anyone know of any software or similar that has been created for this purpose?

    Thanks

In schools I support they use Zimbra and this allows you to create and share calendars, just like Outlook.

Tucasi does this, but it's not free.

If we are sharing calendars why not Google Apps?

I would have thought an online payments system would do it if you are going to implement one of them anyway, but it's a pretty extreme step.

But as @JJonas says - won't a calendar do the trick? Create a calendar on Exchange for the purpose and show people how to connect?

Worth seeing if your LA buys into Evolve (EVOLVE - Choose Service). We started using it this year and it's not bad.

Our LA buy into and we use Evolve here also.

We use Google Calendars and have a different calendar setup for each Year group available on our website (or new website to be launched anyway) Parents are able to see events taking place on our website / VLE.

We are also introducing Pebble School Fund Manager and sQuid in the next few weeks to assist with the payment side of trips to enable online payments.
