Is this whilst watching over RDP? What is it you are trying to achieve as an end result?

Can't you use the built in Windows 7 problem tracker and send it to yourself, or save to a shared drive if it's on network. I use hoversnap and you can save that to wherever you like.
Thanks for the replies guys.. what i was trying to do is see was running on the desktop remotely so i could see if its safe for me to reboot a computer i.e. if they are logged in but nothing is open and its idle then its safe for me to reboot. It was an xp machine and in the end i had a look at the process list and it didnt seem like any applications were open.
Here's the annoying part, moments later I did find the small app i was looking for.. its called grabber and works with windows xp. Spent ages looking for it and when i stopped looking i found![]()

Could you use something like bugsnapper or is it bugshooter and remote execute it
NirCMD NirCmd - Windows command line tool & psexec could do the job.
Wouldn't vnc be easier?
Yeah it would be. I use it in our district and just tick the view only box and I can see if a machine is idle or being used. The software needs to be on both machines however, but that's a small gotcha as there are a few options to push out vnc apps via group policy software installations.
