Re: what servers do you have for how many workstations?

3 x DCs for user home directories, printers, DHCP, DNS, WINS etc.
    1 x for applications
    1 x CMIS and sophos
1 x eportal (not really a server, just an old compaq pc with windows server os)
and 1 more just sat there waiting for me to install the RM online testing stuff. All running windows 2000 server.

    about 650 pcs/laptops and about 1350 users.

We've also got one of those Avantis CD image server thingies. I know some people here don't rate these but ours works well enough for me to just leave it plugged and forget about it.

Re: what servers do you have for how many workstations?

Why not use one of the many sizing tools that are out there,

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...netarch081.asp

We came across one school that had 11 DC's after fixing a few simple DNS problems we were able to drop this down to 2 and re-assigned the others to member server task roles
